What is Anytime Creative?
Anytime Creative aims to inspire through travel, mindfulness and creative exploration. I believe that everyone is creative and can be at anytime, anywhere. By opening the doors to our creative souls, we gift ourselves with a unique power to express ourselves and dig deep within.
How did this all come about?
This is an idea that spawned over 3 years ago and got pushed to the wayside (like many creative endeavours). I wanted something more out of my business, but I couldn’t put my finger on what, therefore I ignored my gut. It all came back to me in a flash when I was at a crossroads. I knew I wanted to travel, and was antsy working a 9-5 job. Upon quitting my job in web design I realized that I had many facets of creative talents I could utilize.
I came up with this idea because I’ve always struggled with my own creativity. It took me a long time to call myself an artist, and even then it still felt like I was wearing a strangers shoes. With my struggles I was able to walk away with new insight that might help others. I’ve met so many self declared “non-creatives” that were constantly for an outlet but couldn’t push past the daunting label of “creative”.
Keeping the door open to our creative soul is just as important as any form of self care.
What happened to Jenni Kowal Photo & Design?
My current brand felt stale and limiting, and I wanted to be bigger than my own name. So I killed it. A website I’ve had for 5 years is officially dead. The blog posts are all backed up, but I realized that it wasn’t serving me to have a stagnant portfolio and a few blogs without a plan. I will bring back some of my favorites to feature on this blog, but moving forward I would like to have more focus. (I'm still using the same font in my logo ! So there's that ;p)

This trip was built around cultivating creativity, kickstarting my blog, taking time to think about the direction of my business and to see some amazing people along the way. Creativity exists within boundaries that we set for ourselves. If only we could break those down a little more and give ourselves a chance to explore what lights us up.
